MSC 2024 concludes with new champions and lead up to M6 World Championship!

The recently concluded MSC 2024 saw Malaysian representatives, SRG, defeat world champions Falcons AP.Bren (FCAP) to take home a life-changing USD 1,000,000. This marks the first time a Malaysian team has won a major international MLBB tournament after a seven-year journey, setting up the M6 World Championship nicely.

Building on this momentum, it was announced that the Semi Finals and Grand Finals of the M6 World Championship will be held at Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. This venue hosted the inaugural M-Series and brings the tournament back to its roots.

Malaysia's Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister show national support for MLBB esports 🇲🇾

To mark this significant milestone in the nation's esports journey, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, expressed his support on X (formerly Twitter), applauding the team for their victory and commending them for showcasing Malaysia's prowess on the global esports stage.

Prior to the MSC 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development of Malaysia, YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Zahid bin Hamidi, and MOONTON Games hosted a joint press conference which reaffirmed his support for MLBB esports and expressed his vision to turn Malaysia into a top destination for esports tourism, especially with the upcoming M6 World Championship. He also highlighted his commitment to nurture young esports talents through programs that impart esports-related skills like journalism, commentary, broadcast production, team management, coaching, and event organization. 💪

The trailer features prominent female MLBB esports athletes like Vivian "Vivi" Indrawaty from Team Vitality, who made history as the first female MLBB esports athlete to be featured on The Sphere in Las Vegas. The MWI 2024 provides a platform for female esports athletes to shine, giving aspiring gamer girls around the world role models to look up to. The MWI 2024 will feature at the EWC and offer a USD 500,000 prize pool, one of the highest-ever for women's esports, bringing us a step closer to championing female representation in the esports industry!

The tournament engaged 256 teams from 32 schools, comprising over 1,280 elementary students in Indonesia, and and garnered positive feedback from schools and parents. Students competed in teams of five, gaining firsthand esports experience with coaching and qualifying rounds. The initiative aimed to transform perceptions of gaming, highlighting its role in fostering skills like communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking among young participants.

MLBB to feature at inaugural Emirates Esports League

In line with the United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s commitment to strengthening its position as a global hub for esports, the UAE Esports Federation has announced the launch of the Emirates Esports League which will feature MLBB at one of the most prominent esports events at a state level. MOONTON Games is excited to partner with the UAE Esports Federation as we hope to drive the pursuit of innovation and growth in emerging regions like the UAE.

MLBB Indonesia Community Cup (MICC) Season 2 opens pathway for grassroots esports players to go pro

The tournament, held across four Indonesian regions with the tagline #ESPORTS4EVERYONE, aimed to nurture local grassroots teams aspiring to become esports athletes. The qualifying team, KAGENDRA, will now compete in the MLBB Development League (MDL) Indonesia, the country's second-tier MLBB league, which provides an environment for all esports aspirants a chance to chase their competitive gaming dreams.

MOONTON Education Malaysia supports 100 schools with educational activities 📚

Malaysia's Deputy Education Minister, Wong Kah Woh, graced the launch of the MOONTON Education Malaysia program, which is aimed at benefiting 90,000 Malaysian students. In partnership with Beijing Bridging Culture and Media and Perbadanan Kota Buku, the program includes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workshops, art programs, and book fairs. The partnership will also develop an official MLBB comic book that fans can look forward to.

Having the MLBB tournament in Malaysia underscores the game's role in uniting players and fans across the region, fostering a vibrant esports community.

Project NEXT empowers MLBB beginners and intensifies experience for hardcore players

Player feedback has helped shape the changes for the in-game Project NEXT update as we introduce new features to casual MLBB players and hardcore esports fans.
