Crowns, records, and a message the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Queens have for the world 👑

The largest women's tournament at the world's biggest multi-title esports event has crowned its champions! Team Vitality (VIT) reclaimed their throne at EWC 25, securing their third MWI title. Rising above a 16-team lineup, VIT also made history as the first team to achieve a 100% win rate at an international MLBB women's tournament. The team also took home the lion's share of the USD 500,000 prize pool—one of the largest in history for women's esports. VIT's victory is more than a team milestone. It reflects the possibilities in women's esports when they are given the opportunity to compete on the world stage. MWI proudly showcases MOONTON Games' inclusivity strategy, providing women with a platform to compete, inspire, and claim their place at the forefront of esports.
But the real story ran deeper than the victory. After the match, team member, Viorelle "Vival" Chen, shared: "Here's a message from us to all the girls and women out there who dream of becoming esports athletes. It's not going to be the same for us as it is for men. Many male gamers still underestimate us and think women can't play at the same level. All of us faced struggles in the beginning, but we pushed through by refusing to give up and constantly improving ourselves. The best piece of advice I can give is this: believe in yourself and focus on becoming better. The results will come!"

And the world watched along as these women made history. This year's MWI marked its most-watched edition to date! According to Esports Charts, the tournament reached 468,976 Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV), 3.7 million Hours Watched (HW), and 109,240 Average Concurrent Viewers (ACV). It stands as the most-watched women's esports event of 2025—and amongst the top five in history.
But viewership records only tell part of the story. MWI at EWC 25 became its largest edition yet, with an expanded 16-team lineup (up from 12) spanning qualification from 57 regions (up from 46). That growth wasn't just for scale; it made space for more rising talent to shine on the world stage. And shine they did. North America's Gaimin Gladiators (GG) made a historic run as the region's first-ever Grand Finalists. Meanwhile, Myanmar Terror Queens (TQ) rounded out the top three—the nation's best finish on the international MLBB women's stage. Nations like Saudi Arabia were also represented at EWC for the very first time—proof of MWI's power to open doors and bring new regions into the global spotlight. These breakthroughs spotlight the power of representation and the importance of creating space for women to rise.
Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystems at MOONTON Games, said: "MWI is more than just a tournament; it embodies the potential of women's esports when given the right support and investment. This edition made history, broke records, and demonstrated the growing passion and momentum behind women's esports. At MOONTON Games, we're committed to laying the foundations for the ecosystem and building a future where women thrive at the heart of esports. By fostering a sustainable and inclusive ecosystem, we aim to create opportunities that elevate women's voices and visibility on the world stage."
MWI continues to evolve alongside MLBB's global esports strategy. What began as the only women's tournament at EWC in 2024 is now the largest women's event on the world's biggest multi-title esports stage. Under the banner One Game, Two Champions, MLBB Esports continues to champion representation, inclusivity, and competitiveness—proving that esports is #Limitless.

How GoPay turned competitive gaming moments into real-world rewards with MPL Indonesia

What does it take to stand out in a crowded digital wallet space—especially amongst gamers who expect more than just ads? For GoPay, the answer was a partnership with MLBB Professional League (MPL) Indonesia, the country's most-watched esports league. GoPay set out to boost awareness and drive usage of their mobile payment app. But in a saturated market, standard promotions wouldn't cut it. Gamers want experiences, not just transactions.
That's where MPL Indonesia came in. More than a direct line to millions of gamers, the league brought cultural credibility and real-time fan engagement. Together, GoPay and MPL Indonesia launched GG Brawl with the Best—a gamified, on-ground activation that turned fans into players. Ticket holders who paid via GoPay could enter a draw to win exclusive rewards in a live match. The result was a high-energy campaign that blurred the lines between spectator and participant. It increased app engagement by making GoPay part of the action—not just a logo on screen.

But the partnership didn't stop there. During the MPL Indonesia Playoffs, GoPay was seamlessly woven into the live match experience. When the in-game Gold differential crossed 10,000, fans could redeem exclusive in-game currency—turning peak gameplay into instant gratification. All 1,000 redemption codes were snapped up in 10 seconds, proving high demand and real-time fan participation. The collaboration didn't just entertain, it delivered business impact. The GoPay Hadiah Daily Giveaway kept the momentum going across the season. Daily match day incentives drove repeat traffic to the GoPay app and reinforced the brand as the go-to wallet for MLBB fans.
Together, GoPay and MPL Indonesia delivered a high-impact, fan-first campaign that showed MLBB Esports can drives more than just views. It fuels conversion, builds brand affinity, and sustains long-term engagement. This partnership showcased what's possible when a brand meets fans where they play.
